Joining the New Camp

During Auftrag von Thorus let Mordrag escort the hero from the Old Camp to the New Camp. At the camp entrance Mordrag hands over his ring as a token of trust. Killing or knocking out Mordrag forfeits the ring. Ring delivered: +10 points.

Enter the living cave of the bandits and mercenaries. Before going to Lares, find Baal Kagan on the left and complete Kundenwerbung for him. As reward, pick the scrolls - make sure the Pacify scroll (Freundlich stimmen) is in the bundle.

Walk past the guards to Roscoe at Lares's passage. When he speaks to the hero, cast the Pacify scroll on him before the conversation ends. Roscoe pacified: +10 points. Critical: this must happen BEFORE the first meeting with Lares - once past, it cannot be retried.

Enter Lares's hut and hand over Mordrag's ring.

Accept Lares's first task: take Baal Isidro's swampweed stock and bring 400 ore back to Lares. Complete Der Krautverkäufer to earn the ore and pay it in. Weed delivered: +10 points.

Ask Torlof for his angle on admission. He explains the steal-something-big-from-the-Old-Camp trick: deliver the Old Mine supply list from Prüfung des Vertrauens to Lares. List to Lares: +10 points.

Take the modified list back to Diego in the Old Camp and hand it in. Modified list delivered to Old Camp: +10 points.

Return to Lares, tell him about the Old Camp delivery. Lares mentions the convoy has already been ambushed thanks to the fake numbers; ask and he points to Gorn for the hero's share of the loot.

Tell Lares the hero is ready. With 30+ points earned (any 3 of the 5 major actions), Lares swears him in and hands over the light bandit clothing. +2950 XP total.

Important: the Pacify on Roscoe has to be cast the very first time he speaks to the hero - once inside Lares's hut, it cannot be made up. If the supply list from the Trial of Trust was already delivered to Diego unmodified, the bandit path stays locked.
