Roscoe

Roscoe is Lares' personal bodyguard and stands watch at the passage to his hut day and night. Nobody gets past him without a good reason, and he turns most newcomers back with the same flat line - Lares is here, but you will not be disturbing him. He softens only when the hero produces something that proves his worth: the supply list smuggled out of the Old Mine by Ian, or the ring Mordrag sent along. Once the hero joins Lares' bandits, Roscoe waves him through without a word.
