Baal Orun is the guru of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper who oversees swampweed harvest and processing in the Swamp Camp. The novices Viran and Balor cut the fields for him, and Harlok and Ghorim work the presses. His voice carries weight in novice admission: the hero wins it by stepping in for the exhausted Ghorim and bringing in the daily harvest from the swamp collectors to Cor Kalom's laboratory - at least a hundred stalks, or Orun sends the courier straight back out. When the harvest is delivered clean, he hands over a Sleep scroll as a small acknowledgement.
