Ghorim is one of the novices of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper posted to the swampweed presses under Baal Orun. He works the stampers side by side with Harlok - at least on paper. In practice Harlok spends his days asleep in a hut below the laboratory, and Ghorim stands at the presses for two, three days running without a break. The hero meets him half-collapsed at the stampers and, at his request, marches over to drag Harlok out of bed; once the relief finally shows up, Ghorim drops gratefully into a night's sleep and remembers the favour.
