Viran

Viran leads the second swampweed-harvest crew in the marsh outside the Swamp Camp, parallel to Balor's on the other side, and reports to Baal Orun like the rest. His patch is the dangerous one - bloodflies swarm the reeds and harass the cutters daily, and Viran takes quiet pride in the fact that the Brotherhood's monopoly on swampweed runs through his corner of the marsh. When the hero arrives claiming to be collecting on Orun's behalf, Viran does not simply hand over the haul: he demands proof of loyalty first, sending the hero to clear the bloodflies off the field before he releases the fifty stalks for delivery.
