Adanos

Adanos is the third god - the god of balance, of the middle, the keeper of the scale between Innos' order and Beliar's chaos. He came into being when Innos divided himself a second time, and when his two brothers went to war he stepped between them; at the place where he stood the world itself formed, an ordered-and-chaotic middle in which life could emerge. His gift to that life is water - the seas, lakes and rivers - and the power of healing, which pushes back the death that Beliar had already set into the world. He neither favours Innos nor resents Beliar; he simply refuses to let either side win, because either victory would end life as it is. In the Colony his face is the Circle of Water at the New Camp - Saturas, Merdarion, Nefarius, Riordian and Myxir wear his robe, pursue the plan to break the Barrier from within and, without fully knowing it, work the keeper-of-the-balance line that Adanos has walked between the brothers since the beginning.
