Nefarius

Nefarius is a diligent and studious Water Mage who stood among the twelve who wove the Barrier at the king's call and was sealed inside it with the rest. When the rift between Fire and Water Mages broke open at the Old Camp, he left with Saturas and joined the New Camp. In the mages' quarters he is the first mage every newcomer meets - he points the hero on to Saturas, explains the path of joining the Water Mages (serve first as a mercenary, accomplish something great, and only then the robe), and later greets the hero's return from the focus-stone hunt with visible relief. When Gomez's massacre of the Fire Mages is reported, it is Nefarius who sends the hero straight to Saturas with the news.
