Trainers

None, available from the start. Advanced trainers require mage or paladin guild membership.

Mana is the essential resource for casting spells and using runes. Without mana no magic can be used, making it the most important attribute for mages alongside health. Mana does not regenerate automatically and must be restored through potions, food (Dark Mushrooms) or sleeping. Eating 50 Dark Mushrooms grants a permanent +5 mana bonus. Donating gold to Daron in the harbour district daily also grants permanent mana and health over time. LP cost scales in thresholds: 1 LP/point up to 29, 2 LP from 30-59, 3 LP from 60-89, 4 LP from 90-119, 5 LP from 120+. Tip: save permanent bonuses (potions, stone tablets, Dark Mushrooms) for when LP costs are high (60+ mana). Rings and amulets can temporarily boost mana to use stronger runes earlier.

How to Learn

Visit mana trainers to increase your maximum mana. Each trainer has a maximum they can teach. Vatras is the best early trainer (up to 120, Chapter 1, no requirements). Parlan trains mages and paladins up to 90 from Chapter 1. Pyrokar can train up to 300 but requires mage/paladin status and being sent by Parlan. Merdarion in Jharkendar trains up to 120 (Chapter 2). Milten also reaches 120 (Chapter 2 in the mine valley, Chapter 6 on the ship).
