Vatras

Vatras is a priest of Adanos from Varant and the chairman of the Ring of Water on Khorinis. He came to the island with his fellow mages but did not participate in creating the Barrier, making him the only Water Mage not trapped in the penal colony. During the long years of the Barrier, he remained in the city, preaching to the citizens at the Adanos shrine on the temple square. After the fall of the Barrier, he coordinates the Ring of Water in the fight against the bandits and the search for the missing citizens. He provides the hero with a magical ore amulet containing a seeking wisp and establishes contact with Lares and the Water Mages. When the Seekers destroy the Eye of Innos, Vatras is the only one who knows how to restore it: through a reversal ritual at the Sun Circle, requiring one mortal representative each of Innos, Adanos, and Beliar – Pyrokar, himself, and Xardas. Vatras teaches magic, alchemy, and the circles of magic, heals the wounded, and bestows the blessing of Adanos. He accompanies the hero to Irdorath, where he fights against the forces of evil and supports the hero with counsel and healing.
