Jarvis promises to give the hero his vote for joining the mercenaries if the hero beats up three of Sylvio's men. The targets are Fester, Raoul, Bullco, Rod, and Sentenza. Only three need to be defeated. This quest is part of the process of gathering enough votes to join the mercenaries in Chapter 1 and can only be completed as a guildless hero. Once the hero joins another guild, this quest becomes unavailable. The easiest targets are Fester, Raoul, and Rod. Beating up Bullco is also part of Pepe's quest 'Beat Up Bullco'.

Walkthrough
**Fester:** Help him clear out the field raiders first, then confront him about his promise. He is the weakest of the group and easy to defeat.
**Raoul:** Talk to him and choose the dialogue option "I think you need a beating." Defeat him in a fight. After the fight, talk to him again and he will also give you his vote for the mercenaries.
**Rod:** Ask him if he will train you in two-handed combat. He says you are too weak and bets you cannot hold his sword. You need 30 Strength for this. Win the bet, he hands you his sword, you hold it up, and when he tells you to give it back, say "No." He attacks with bare fists only, making him easy to beat. Return his sword after the fight and he gives you his vote.
