Baltram's Delivery
The quests 'Baltram's Delivery' and 'The False Messenger' share the same setup but differ in their conclusion. Baltram, the merchant at the marketplace in the Lower Quarter, needs a new courier to pick up a delivery from the farmer Akil. The hero learns about this job by asking the innkeeper Kardif at the harbour tavern in the Harbour District about work, specifically about special work, who then points to Nagur. Nagur reveals that Baltram is looking for a new messenger. The hero can either deliver the goods honestly to Baltram, or hand them over to Nagur instead, which opens a peaceful path into the Thieves' Guild.

100 XP + 50 gold (honest path). Optional: 100 XP + 100 gold for reporting Nagur to Lord Andre.
Walkthrough
Go to the harbour tavern in the Harbour District and ask innkeeper Kardif about work, then about special work. He points you to Nagur.
Talk to Nagur. He tells you that Baltram, the merchant at the marketplace, is looking for a new courier.
Go to Baltram at the marketplace in the Lower Quarter. He sends you to the farmer Akil to pick up a delivery.
Travel to Akil's farm and collect the delivery.
**Honest path:** Bring the delivery back to Baltram (100 XP and 50 gold). Before handing it over, you can also report Nagur to Lord Andre (100 XP and 100 gold). Baltram will then have 10 apples added to his trading inventory.
**Thieves' path:** Instead of delivering to Baltram, bring the goods to Nagur. This earns a reward later and opens a peaceful path into the Thieves' Guild (see quest 'The False Messenger').
