A Great Challenge
To earn Harad's approval as a master or his endorsement for another master, the hero must bring him a Light Orc Axe. The easiest way is to find one in a cave at the far east end of the valley. Alternatively, the hero can go hunting with Bartok for 50 gold. If the task seems too hard, Harad offers the quest 'Bandit Raids' instead, which overlaps with Hakon's quest. It is best to accept Hakon's version first for the 100 gold bonus.

Walkthrough
Talk to Harad at the marketplace in the Lower Quarter. He wants a Light Orc Axe as proof of your skill.
**Option A: Cave (easiest)**
Leave the city through the east gate, go left and follow the path through the wilderness to the far end of the valley. Find the Light Orc Axe in a cave.
**Option B: Hunt with Bartok**
Pay Bartok 50 gold to go hunting together. You can obtain a Light Orc Axe this way.
**Option C: Too hard? Bandit Raids instead**
Tell Harad the task is too difficult. He gives you the quest 'Bandit Raids' instead (XP only, no gold). Tip: Talk to Hakon first to get the same quest with a 100 gold reward.
Bring the Light Orc Axe to Harad (200 XP). He gives his approval and you can begin an apprenticeship.
