Bartok

Bartok is a hunter who used to hunt scavengers and wolves in the forests of Khorinis, with his camp near the Dead Harpy tavern. When the area around the city became too dangerous, he gave up hunting and retreated behind the city walls. He also ended his apprenticeship with the bowyer Bosper – who was only ever interested in the pelts anyway. Bartok teaches travelers how to sneak and use a bow, and for a fee of 50 gold pieces will go on a joint hunting trip, letting the hero keep the pelts to sell to Bosper. During one such excursion outside the south gate, however, they ran into an orc – an encounter that shook Bartok so badly that he refuses to venture beyond the city walls for the time being. He is also deeply troubled by the disappearance of his friend Trokar, an excellent hunter who went to get some swampweed one evening at the tavern and never returned.
