Hakon

Hakon is a traveling weapons merchant who sells his goods at the Khorinis marketplace and lodges at Hanna's inn. His business suffers under the paladins, who have confiscated all weapons above a certain length – he can only sell remaining stock. His supplier, the blacksmith Harad, works day and night exclusively for the paladins. On his way to the city, Hakon was ambushed by bandits and nearly killed. He offers the hero 100 gold pieces for eliminating these bandits near Akil's farm. Hakon keeps a keen eye on who comes and goes through the city gates – he noticed that a boastful fellow named Joe, who claimed to know how to break into one of the militia's weapon storage towers, vanished without a trace. The militia didn't even know the man.
