Silas

Silas is the tavern keeper of the New Camp and one of Lares' bandits. He built his kitchen on the dam above the reservoir and turns the harvest from the Rice Lord's fields into hot meals, while Jeremiah runs the still at the back. Rice schnapps sells for solid ore, and since the camp has nowhere else to spend its pay the tavern is the quiet centre of everything - bandits, mercenaries and off-shift diggers all end the day in front of Silas' counter. He trades with the hero over the same counter, selling drink, food and a handful of goods that wander in with his regulars.
