The Merchant's Gold
When talking to Jora at the marketplace in the Lower Quarter, he mentions that he was robbed. Asking further gives the hero this quest along with the quest 'A Brazen Thief'. During that quest, the hero can recover 50 gold from Rengaru and return it to Jora. If the gold is not returned, Jora will charge 50 gold for Alrik's sword in the quest 'Alrik's Sword'.

Walkthrough
Talk to Jora at the marketplace in the Lower Quarter. He tells you he was robbed.
Complete the quest 'A Brazen Thief' to track down Rengaru and recover 50 gold from him.
Bring the 50 gold back to Jora (100 XP).
Note: If you return Jora's gold, you get Alrik's sword for free in the quest 'Alrik's Sword'. Otherwise it costs 50 gold.
