Caine

Caine is the apprentice of Cor Kalom and the second pair of hands in the alchemy laboratory under the temple hill. He distributes Kalom's experimental swampweed blends to novice volunteers (among them Joru) for testing and helps prepare the minecrawler-mandible secret for the Sleeper rituals. He points the hero toward Gor-Na-Drak for the knack of extracting crawler secret in the field and speaks openly about where his master keeps the sealed recipe chest - though he makes clear that the locked box stays locked. When Kalom later breaks with the Brotherhood and storms off toward the Sleeper's Temple, Caine stays behind and becomes the camp's own alchemist.
