Baal Namib

Baal Namib is one of the sterner gurus of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper and the first guru the hero meets when he climbs out of the swamp into the Swamp Camp. He is the master of Lester and fiercely guards the faith of every newcomer who wants the novice robe - no half-hearted seeker gets past him. He also keeps the heavy novice armour and sells it to every brother who has earned the rank. The hero wins his vote for admission through Lester's help and a staged dialogue about the Sleeper that convinces Namib of the newcomer's true belief, after which Namib sends him on to Y'Berion for the first real errand.
