The Forbidden Pasture
The farmer Bengar has forbidden the shepherd Balthasar from leading his sheep to the pasture plateau. To help Balthasar, the hero should complete Torlof's quest 'Drive Off the Militia' first as a guildless hero in Chapter 1. After convincing Bengar to allow access, Balthasar rewards the hero with Sheep Pelts. In later chapters this quest can only be completed as a mercenary or Dragon Hunter. Militia members and novices cannot report back to Balthasar.

Walkthrough
Talk to Balthasar at Bengar's Farm. He tells you that Bengar forbids him from using the pasture.
Complete the quest 'Drive Off the Militia' for Torlof first. After driving off the militia, tell Torlof they are gone.
Talk to Bengar about Balthasar's problem (50-250 XP, chapter-dependent). Tell him that Balthasar should be allowed to graze his sheep on the plateau (50-250 XP, chapter-dependent).
Return to Balthasar and deliver the good news (100 XP + 10 Sheep Pelts).
Note: In later chapters, only mercenaries or Dragon Hunters can complete this quest. Militia members and novices cannot report back to Balthasar.
