Talamon

Talamon is an archmage at the Monastery of Khorinis tasked with guarding the laboratories and the Council's library in the cellar. He is a stubborn and powerful mage – nobody gets past him without permission. Those who ignore his warnings are attacked on the third attempt. Only with Pyrokar's express authorization does he let the hero pass to examine Xardas' magically sealed book. When the hero discovers a secret door behind a bookshelf in the Council's library leading to an old underground vault – whose existence was unknown even to the Council – Talamon immediately sends him in to explore while he informs Pyrokar. The monster-infested vault leads deep beneath the monastery to Xardas' secret library, which the former archmage once used as a laboratory and study.
