The Mages of Fire reside at the Monastery of Innos in Khorinis and serve the god of light and order. Led by Pyrokar, the head of the order, they form the intellectual and magical elite of the island. For the player, the only path into the order leads through the Trial of Fire - those who pass it leave their life as a novice behind and gain access to the most powerful fire spells in the game. In theory there is also the path of years of study, but this remains out of reach for the player. Fire Mages do not wear heavy armor and avoid direct melee combat - their strength lies in devastating offensive spells at range. With each rising magic circle the arsenal of spells and runes grows considerably. The Fire Mage path rewards players who consistently invested in mana during their time as a novice with one of the strongest characters in the later chapters of the game.
