Opolos

Opolos is a novice at the Monastery of the Fire Mages who has been tending the sheep for three years and desperately wishes to study in the library – but until Master Parlan relieves him of his duty, access is denied. He warns newcomers about the arrogant Agon, who has already managed to get the novice Babo demoted to sweeping the courtyard. Opolos has a strong punch from past brawling and offers the hero strength training – in exchange for a quick look at one of Neoras' mana recipes. He explains the monastery rules: never lie to a mage, never harm a brother of the community, and respect the community's property. As the sheep keeper, he also takes charge of the Liesel that the hero brings as tribute for monastery admission.
