Onar

Onar is the landowner of Khorinis and the island's largest property holder. He inherited the farm and land from his father, who in turn inherited it from his father – generations of family ownership. The farms of Sekob and Bengar also stand on his land. His family consists of his strong-willed wife Maria and his daughter Elena. Onar is a good but very impatient and gruff man who doesn't want to be bothered with trivialities. When the militia grew increasingly bold after the fall of the Barrier, plundering the farmers and even stealing Maria's golden wedding plate, he openly defied the king. He cut off trade with the city, hired Lee and his mercenaries, and built his own army. He sets the mercenaries' pay himself: slackers go unpaid for weeks, troublemakers must sort things out with Lee first, and anyone who wants their wages must show up in person every day. He has nothing but contempt for the war against the orcs – the king is a "greedy fool" bleeding the farmers dry.
