Neoras

Neoras is the alchemist of the Monastery of the Fire Mages on Khorinis, constantly researching new potions and recipes in the cellar laboratory. He instructs his brothers in the art of alchemy – from healing essences through mana elixirs to the Elixir of Life – and brews potions to order for a fee and the required ingredients. Novices are turned away and directed to Gorax; only Fire Mages and paladins benefit from his knowledge. He regularly needs plants for his experiments, especially fire nettles. His most ambitious project is the Dragon Egg Brew – a potion from a recipe he purchased from a traveling merchant that requires a real dragon egg as an ingredient. Since he naturally had none, he tried unsuccessfully to simulate the ingredient. When the hero actually delivered a dragon egg, Neoras was able to complete the potion – anyone who drank it breathed with the power of a dragon and gained a permanent increase in physical strength.
