    Speak to Cor Kalom at the alchemy laboratory after returning from Fokus für die Gurus. Accept his stock - healing potions or light scrolls.

    Travel to the Old Mine. Near the entrance ask a templar about the nest; he points to Gor-Na-Vid, Gor-Na-Kosh and Gor-Na-Bar in the mine.

    Descend to the deepest gallery. Asghan stands before a sealed gate. He refuses to open it without Ian's clearance.

    Speak to Ian. He demands a new gearwheel for the broken swampweed press - find it in a side tunnel a few floors down, guarded by three minecrawlers.

    Return the gearwheel to Ian. He gives the hero a password to pass on to Asghan.

    Back at the sealed gate, give the password. Asghan now requires three templars to guard the open gate. Recruit Gor-Na-Bar higher up in the mine (he joins on request), Gor-Na-Kosh near the smelter (he joins on request), and Gor-Na-Vid next to Gor-Na-Kosh (he requires a healing potion before he moves). Two templars suffice for Asghan, the third is optional backup.

    Return to Asghan and operate the winch. The gate opens.
  8. 8
    Follow the tunnel behind the gate through pack after pack of deep-mine crawlers to the hatchery. Defeat the Minecrawler Queen.

    Collect all minecrawler eggs from the nest.

    Carry the eggs back to Cor Kalom at the Swamp Camp. +5500 XP.

Cor Kalom has had a vision: the ordinary minecrawler-mandible secret will not carry the Great Calling, and a far more potent one has to be cut out of the nest itself. He sends the hero down into the Old Mine to find the hatchery of the minecrawler queen and bring back her eggs. The road runs through Ian's broken swampweed press, Asghan's sealed gate and a mass of deep-mine crawlers before the queen is reached. Kalom stocks the hero before the descent.
