Whistler

Whistler is an influential Shadow of the Old Camp and a confidant of Diego, known across the camp for a pronounced weakness for ornamented blades that has earned him the reputation of a crank among the rougher diggers. The same weakness has dragged him into a long-running feud with the trader Fisk, who refuses all further direct business with him. That feud turns the hero into his errand-boy: a hundred ore handed over to fetch his latest commissioned broadsword from Fisk's stall in his place, with a second tithe to cover Fisk's needling price hike. Deliver the blade honestly and Whistler adds his voice for Diego; try to disappear with the ore instead and he hunts the hero down personally, colony or no colony.
