Horatio

Horatio is a farmer of the New Camp working the rice fields, a former blacksmith thrown through the Barrier for killing a man in a tavern brawl with a single uncontrolled blow. After that day he swore never again to attack anyone unprovoked, and declined Lee's offer to join the mercenaries for the same reason - his peace among the rice is enough for him. His former trade still gives him the pure technique of a heavy strike, shoulder to wrist in one line, the full body loaded into the swing, and he will teach it to the hero, but only on the promise that the strength will be used against the Rice Lord and his thugs, never for everyday brawling.
