Baal Taran

Baal Taran is a Brotherhood of the Sleeper missionary preaching in the Old Camp outer ring, and the first member of the Sleeper-cult the Nameless Hero meets in the colony. He explains the Sleeper's doctrine - that the three gods abandoned the condemned, that the Sleeper alone will lead them to freedom, and that doubters are shown proof through visions induced by swampweed - and redirects would-be converts to Baal Parvez for the escort. When the hero admits he carries the letter to the Fire Mages Taran covers for him but warns sternly to keep it secret. He wears a Light Novice Robe and carries a Weathered Axe; like Parvez he dies in the outer-ring riots after the castle murders.
