Alrik's Sword
Overview
Alrik stands behind the warehouse in the harbor district of Khorinis and organizes illegal fighting matches. After winning the first bout, he refuses to fight again — he wants his old sword back, which he sold to Jora at the marketplace. If you previously recovered Jora's gold from Rengaru during the quest "A Brazen Thief", you get the sword for free. Otherwise it costs 50 gold. Returning the sword to Alrik earns 100 XP and unlocks further fights — three times in Chapter 1, then again from Chapter 3 and 5 as he grows stronger. Alrik is also an experienced instructor who can train the hero in one-handed combat.

100 experience points for returning the sword. Additional fights against Alrik grant chapter-dependent experience points and 100 gold per victory.
Walkthrough
Challenge him to a fight (stake: 50 gold). Defeat him to receive 100 gold.
After the first victory, Alrik demands his old sword back before he will fight again.
Go to Jora at the marketplace. If you returned his gold in "A Brazen Thief", he gives the sword for free. Otherwise it costs 50 gold.
Return the sword to Alrik (100 XP).
You can now fight Alrik again (3 times in Chapter 1, then again in Chapter 3 and 5).
