Ulf

Ulf is a novice of the Order of Fire on Khorinis, responsible for supplying the city's three innkeepers – Coragon, Kardif, and the free beer stand keeper – with wine from the monastery. However, he is more lazy and underhanded than a faithful servant of Innos – he avoids dangerous errands and would rather hang around the beer stand than fulfill his duties. When he is unexpectedly chosen for the Test of Magic, he sees it as his chance to escape the novice life. Along the way, he secretly follows the hero but quickly loses his nerve when the area becomes more dangerous. In the end, it comes to a confrontation: Ulf tries to take the result of the trial by force rather than earning it honestly. He does not survive the test.
