Sekob
Sekob is a nasty, underhanded, and greedy farmer who works a homestead near Onar's estate as a tenant. His wife Rosi and son Till live with him on the farm, though Rosi takes no pride in being his wife – Sekob's own farmhands call him nothing but "slave driver." Despite having plenty of gold, he has been dodging rent for weeks, claiming to be penniless. He steals from Onar's stores and sells the goods to the city, has run up debts with nearly everyone, and refuses to pay Bengar toll so the shepherd Balthasar can graze the sheep on the Pasture Plateau. Xardas once paid him to store a book about the Halls of Irdorath in a locked chest – an oath Sekob kept even when the Seekers occupied his house searching for it. They later cursed him with their dark gaze, driving him to the brink of madness with nothing but screaming, until his wife fled into the forest with their son.
