Maleth

Maleth is the shepherd on Lobart's farm and a grumpy, suspicious man who considers every stranger a bandit and every bandit a sheep thief. He has already clubbed many a wolf to death and knows the dangers of the area all too well – the hills near the farm were occupied by bandits for a time who stole his sheep. Since he regularly visits the city, he knows the gate guards well and exactly what excuses are needed to get through. He advises newcomers to pose as workers from Lobart's farm and claim they need to see the blacksmith. He once got so drunk on Vino's moonshine that he lost all memory of the evening along with his beloved walking stick. When the Seekers appear on the farm, he is convinced they come straight from hell.
