Finn

Finn is a digger with over 35 years of experience in the bandit camp of Raven in Jharkendar – a self-proclaimed guru among miners and freely admits he is the best. He followed Raven after the fall of the Barrier and works in the gold mine, where access requires a red stone token from Esteban. Esteban favors skilled diggers like Finn, sending them into the mine regularly. During the investigation into the assassination attempt on Esteban, Finn is initially suspicious of questions but reveals a crucial clue once convinced the hero works for the boss: at the time of the attack, he went to pick up his pickaxe from the blacksmith Huno, but Huno was not at his forge – highly suspicious, since he is otherwise always there. This lead eventually helps the hero trace the conspiracy. When the hero takes over control of the mine and gives Finn a red stone, the old digger repays the favor by sharing a mining secret: the crushing blow technique – after a few unsuccessful swings, dragging the tip of the pickaxe across the rock can dislodge multiple nuggets at once. Finn can also assess any digger's skill level, ranking them from "bloody beginner" to "guru among diggers." He knows the important distinction that gold is not ore – after all, what woman would hang a chain of ore around her neck? After the orc invasion of Khorinis, the surviving humans were transported to the mainland on orc galleys and given a choice between slavery or serving as orc mercenaries – what became of Finn is unknown.
