Esteban

Esteban is a bandit and the leader of the lower camp in the bandit camp of Raven in Jharkendar. He followed Raven after the fall of the Barrier and controls who gains access to the gold mine, distributing red stone tokens as entry passes. Together with Thorus, who handles the gold distribution, he runs the camp's economy. Two bodyguards are always at his side, and his enforcers Juan and Senyan carry out his orders. Esteban demands a cut of every deal in the camp – Huno must pay him for every armor sold, Fisk pays his share, and anyone who tries to do business without his approval gets shut down. When Tom established a profitable trade route with the pirates Angus and Hank, Esteban sent Juan to destroy the operation – Juan murdered the two pirates and stole the deliveries of steel and lockpicks meant for Huno and Fisk. Meanwhile, diggers die regularly to crawler attacks in the mine because Esteban refuses to send fighters from the guard of Raven into the tunnels, too afraid to give them orders. Fisk, fed up with the extortion, orchestrated an assassination attempt – but the attacker underestimated the bodyguards and was killed. Esteban tasks the hero with finding the mastermind. The investigation leads through Snaf, Emilio, Lennar, and Huno, ultimately exposing Fisk. But Fisk anticipated this – he convinces the hero to reveal his name to Esteban, knowing that Esteban would send his bodyguards after him. Fisk springs the trap and kills the guards. When the hero returns to claim the promised red stone, Esteban breaks his word and demands the hero work for him permanently. The hero, grinning, asks which bodyguards Esteban intends to use – and Esteban, realizing he has walked into a trap, attacks. He dies in the fight. His death brings relief to the camp: Fisk resumes his trade, Tom returns from hiding, and the hero takes over the task of sending diggers into the mine.
