Crimson

Crimson is a bandit who followed Raven to Jharkendar after the fall of the Barrier. In the gold mine of the bandit camp, he smelts the gold ore brought to him by the slave workers and stamps it into coins using a stolen mint die that Raven gave him. His counterfeits are so perfect that they are indistinguishable from real coins – he pays 10 gold pieces per gold nugget. Crimson witnessed the dark ritual in which Raven summoned the dead priest Khardimon from his crypt, chanting the words "Khardimon fatagn schatar fatagn Beliar" over and over. A blinding light burst from the crypt, followed by a scream that Crimson describes as "the sound of the end of the world." Raven conversed with the voice, though Crimson could not remember what they discussed – the experience left him so shaken that it took him hours to move his body again. The hero uses the incantation learned from Crimson to understand how Raven breached the secrets of the temple. After the orc invasion of Khorinis, the surviving humans were transported to the mainland on orc galleys and given a choice between slavery or serving as orc mercenaries – what became of Crimson is unknown.
