Cipher

Cipher is a former convict and swampweed dealer who served as a bandit under Lares in the New Camp during the colony days. He dealt primarily in larger shipments of swampweed and had trade connections with the novice Balor in the Swamp Camp. When a profitable opportunity arose, he also took part in raids on the Old Camp. After the fall of the Barrier, he became a mercenary at Onar's farm, where someone stole an entire packet of swampweed from his chest – he initially suspected the farmhand Bodo, but the actual thief was the mercenary Dar. For his vote on accepting new members into the mercenaries, he demands 10 stalks of swampweed. Cipher later joined the Dragon Hunters and returned to the Valley of Mines with Rod, where the two waited at the edge of the swamp for the right moment to attack the swamp dragon Pandrodor. Together with the hero, they defeated the dragon in his reeking marsh.
