Bennet

Bennet is the blacksmith of the mercenaries at Onar's Farm and the finest smith on the island of Khorinis. Together with his apprentice Hodges, he forges weapons and armor for the mercenaries and teaches the craft of smithing – from simple steel blades to magical ore weapons, a secret known to very few smiths. His greatest achievement is the development of the Dragon Hunter armor, lighter and sturdier than conventional plate, which he later improved further using dragon scales and magical ore. When the paladin Lothar was found murdered, the militia imprisoned Bennet as a suspect – a wrongful arrest that nearly sparked a war between the mercenaries and the paladins. The hero proved his innocence and secured his release. In gratitude, Bennet repaired the shattered setting of the Eye of Innos, one of the crucial artifacts in the fight against the dragons. He ultimately joined the crew of the Esmeralda and accompanied the hero to Irdorath, serving as both smith and fighter.
