Walkthrough (contains spoilers)
1. Talk to Alligator Jack — he knows which cave Hank and Angus used for trading with the bandits.
2. Travel to the valley you visited during Rat Hunt and climb to the described cave.
3. Find Hank and Angus dead on the ground (only from version 2.5a / 2.6 onwards).
4. Report back to Bill — this actually triggers the quest officially.
5. Return Morgan's ring to him.
6. Bill wants the murderer's name — talk to Tom, a bandit hiding in a cave near Logan in the swamp. He names Juan.
7. Report to Bill: he demands Juan killed.
8. Kill Juan and report to Bill (200 XP).

At the Pirate Camp, Morgan reveals that Angus and Hank have gone missing. Morgan wants a ring back that he lost to Hank in a game. Skip wants 20 bottles of rum back (see Skip Is Out of Rum). Bill later tasks the hero with finding the murderer.
