The Living Rock
Part of The Trial of Fire. Serpentes tasks the hero with killing the Magic Golem. It can only be killed with the Holy Hammer, which is in the monastery cellar guarded by the novice Garwig. The hero must use a Sleep Scroll on Garwig to take the hammer. The Magic Golem is located on the right side of the road shortly before the bridge heading north from the Monastery. A single hit with the Holy Hammer kills it. Alternatively, a summoned golem can kill it, or the hero can use Shrink Monster and finish it with a normal weapon. After the kill, return the Holy Hammer to Serpentes. Note: killing the golem affects The Path of the Faithful by enabling Agon to reach the cave chest first.

Walkthrough
1. Get this task from Serpentes as part of The Trial of Fire.
2. Get a Sleep Scroll (buy from Isgaroth or others).
3. Go to the monastery cellar. Use the Sleep Scroll on Garwig.
4. Take the Holy Hammer from the table.
5. Head north from the monastery. The Magic Golem is on the right side of the road, shortly before the bridge.
6. Hit the Magic Golem once with the Holy Hammer. One hit kills it.
7. **Alternative methods:** Summon a golem to fight it, or use Shrink Monster and kill it with a normal weapon.
8. Return to Serpentes and give back the Holy Hammer (200 XP).
9. **Warning:** Killing the golem before The Path of the Faithful means Agon reaches the cave first and you must fight him.
