Joining the Militia
To join the Militia, the hero must either become a citizen of Khorinis or betray the Thieves' Guild to Lord Andre. The betrayal option is only available if the hero asked Lord Andre about an alternative way to join without being a citizen. To become a citizen, the hero needs an apprenticeship with one of three masters: Bosper the bowmaker, Harad the blacksmith, or Constantino the alchemist. Each has advantages: Bosper offers good pelt prices, Harad allows selling self-smithed weapons (unlimited raw steel from Bennet), and Constantino pays well for mushrooms and digger meat. Getting the apprenticeship requires the approval of at least four of five masters, though getting all five is recommended for the extra XP. Once a citizen, speak to Lord Andre at the Barracks to join. Alternatively, the quest The Easy Way to the Militia provides a shortcut.
Rewards
400 XP for joining the Militia. Militia armor and access to the Barracks.
