In Chapter 4, Gerold in the castle complains about his empty stomach. The hero meets him at midnight in the Fire Mage quarters. Giving him 9 portions of the same food (cooked meat, sausage, ham, cheese, or fish soup) yields the best reward. Fewer portions give reduced rewards.

Walkthrough
1. Talk to Gerold in the castle in Chapter 4. He is hungry.
2. Meet him at midnight in the Fire Mage quarters.
3. Give him food:
- **9 portions** of the same type (cooked meat, sausage, ham, cheese, or fish soup): 350 XP + 450 gold
- **3-8 portions:** 175 XP + 50 gold
- **1-2 portions:** 116 XP + 50 gold
