Fernando's Business
The overseas merchant Fernando in the Upper Quarter of Khorinis asks the hero for a report on the state of the mines in the Valley of Mines. He promises a reward in return. When the hero returns from the Valley of Mines in Chapter 3 and reports that the mines are nearly exhausted, Fernando is devastated but honors his deal. Fire Mages receive a Blank Runestone, while militia soldiers and mercenaries receive a Ring of Vitality. Note: This quest is unavailable if "The Bandit's Arms Dealer" was completed in Chapter 1, as Fernando is then already imprisoned.

Walkthrough
1. Speak to Fernando in the Upper Quarter during Chapter 2. He asks for a report on the mines in exchange for a reward.
2. Travel to the Valley of Mines and complete your business there (this happens naturally through the main story).
3. Return to Khorinis in Chapter 3 and speak to Fernando again. Report that the mines are exhausted.
4. Receive 150 XP and your reward: a Blank Runestone (Fire Mage) or a Ring of Vitality (Militia/Mercenary).
5. **Important:** Do not turn Fernando in to the militia before Chapter 3 if you want both this quest and "The Bandit's Arms Dealer".
