Diego's Gold
In Chapter 3, Diego stands near Matteo's shop in the Lower Quarter of Khorinis. He asks the hero to retrieve his gold from the Valley of Mines, where he hid a pouch full of 2,000 gold coins near the lake at the old exchange place. Diego stayed behind in the city to prepare his next move while the hero heads into the dangerous valley to find Diego's old pouch. The pouch can be opened beforehand, but Diego only cares about getting the full 2,000 gold.

Walkthrough
1. Speak to Diego near Matteo's shop in the Lower Quarter during Chapter 3. He asks you to retrieve his gold from the Valley of Mines.
2. Travel to the Valley of Mines. The gold is hidden near the lake at the old exchange place.
3. If you come through the orc-occupied pass, the location is immediately nearby. If you go through the old mine, follow the path to the right and uphill.
4. Pick up Diego's old pouch containing 2,000 gold.
5. Return to Diego in Khorinis and hand over the pouch. He wants the full amount of 2,000 gold.
6. Receive 600 XP. This unlocks the follow-up quest "Diego's Business".
