Gothic 2: Night of the Raven includes a built-in cheat console called the Marvin Mode. Once activated, you can open the console with F2 and enter cheat codes to spawn items, teleport, become invincible, or modify your character stats. Cheats work in both the base game and the Night of the Raven expansion.
**Important:** Save your game before activating Marvin Mode. Saving while cheats are active can corrupt your save file. Always deactivate cheats with **42** before saving.
To activate the Marvin Mode:
1. Open the character screen (default: **B** or **C**)
2. Type **marvin** (you won't see the text)
3. Close the character screen
4. If "Marvin Mode" appears in the top-left corner, cheats are active
5. Press **F2** to open the console
To deactivate: Open the character screen, type **42**, close it. "What was the question?" confirms deactivation.
