Snipes is an Old Camp digger in the Old Mine who hates the guards as much as any man in the shaft - and is willing to do something about it. He stole the chest key from the guard Aaron and offers the Nameless Hero ten ore for luring Aaron away from the chest, then sells the key itself for another thirty. His profit is not the coin but the satisfaction of striking back at his tormentors - and the relief that if the loot is ever found on him he is a dead man. He wears Digger's Pants and fights with a Spiked Club if cornered.
