Cavalorn is a hunter and shadow of the Old Camp who has claimed an old woodcutter's hut in the Valley of Mines and makes his living there off pelts, bows and quiet work outside the walls. According to Fingers he is one of the best sneakers in the whole Colony - a reputation that shows in his teaching. He sells bows and crossbows out of the hut, shows the hero how to move silently through the undergrowth, and trains archery up to the master standard with a short lecture on eye, draw, arc and target. After the Barrier falls he carries the skill set into the world outside and eventually falls in with the Ring of Water on Khorinis.
