William

William was a fisherman in the harbor district of Khorinis and the best friend of Farim. For a fisherman, he was remarkably ambitious – he made shady deals with pirates and later even with bandits. This proved his undoing: William was the first citizen of Khorinis to disappear without a trace. On orders from Raven, Dexter and his bandits had kidnapped him and brought him to Jharkendar, where he was forced to toil as a slave in the gold mine alongside the other captives. One day he managed to escape with the help of a note, but the desperate gamble cost him his life – roughly halfway between the bandit camp and the pirate camp, wild animals caught up with him. The Water Mages later found his body. When Farim learned of the death of his friend, he honored William the way he would have wanted – by going to the harbor tavern and drinking away the proceeds from his last catch.
