Rethon

Rethon is a Dragon Hunter and lone trophy collector who set up camp at the castle in the Valley of Mines after being equipped by Bennet. Unlike most Dragon Hunters, he works alone and has no interest in joining any group – he is here for one thing only: a dragon trophy. He refuses to leave the valley without one. Rather than rushing out, he spends his time in the castle preparing his weapons and training, convinced that neither the paladins nor Sylvio and his men will manage to bring down any dragons. He notes the poor morale among the paladins, pointing to their chipped blades as evidence – any sensible warrior would desert. He has no love for Sylvio, who he says has no friends, only followers who obey without question. He reveals that Sylvio passed through the castle briefly and headed west after hearing about a powerful ice dragon – the gleam in his eyes said it all. Rethon carries multiple weapons and sells some of them to travelers for gold, making him a useful arms dealer in the besieged fortress.
