Regis

Regis is a stranger from the mainland who is stuck in the city of Khorinis and slowly running out of gold. Joining the militia is out of the question – he has no intention of getting slaughtered by orcs for the king. So he drifts through the city, yet remains remarkably well-informed about everything happening in Khorinis. The affable man always has a good tip for travelers: he knows that Lord Andre has taken command of the militia and the office of judge, that one must be a citizen to enlist, and that the fine for brawling increases with the number of witnesses. He has already gotten into a scrap with the insufferable Valentino and relieved him of a ring, which he passes on to the next person who gives the snob a beating.
