Rangar

Rangar is a militia soldier in Khorinis and a prime example of the poor reputation the militia earned under the old governor Larius. He spends all day lounging at the free beer stand on the gallows square, drinking at the paladins' expense and doing virtually nothing. Supposedly he reports the city's situation to the paladins – in reality, all he has to say is that the orcs pose no threat and everything is under control. At night, however, he steals supplies from the paladins' provisioning depot in the harbor district. Since the paladins can't tell militia soldiers apart, his thieving went unnoticed for a long time. Only when the hero took over the night watch at Martin's request was Rangar caught red-handed. Even then, he shows nothing but indifference and mockery.
